The Nativity of the Lord Parish was originally a part of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Cubao. The idea of setting up a separate parish was brought up by Msgr. Cesar Pagulayan in response to the parish vision of Basic Christian Communities. The idea was picked up by some lay leaders, who negotiated to buy a lot at 151 Ermin Garcia Street. After one year of preparations and negotiations, Archbishop Jaime Cardinal Sin signed the decree establishing the Nativity of the Lord Parish on December 25, 1982.

The parish is bounded on the north by the Lagarian Creek, by Aurora Boulevard on the south, 15th Avenue on the east, and EDSA on the west. It consists of only one barangay, Barangay Eulogio Rodriguez. The original warehouse, which had been improved to become a house to fit for worship, evolved into a big church constructed in 1988. This was completed and dedicated on February 20, 1999.
