Quezon City, Philippines – The Diocese of Cubao Migrants Ministry launched a partnership program with the Quezon City Government last October 15, 2021.
With the help of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines Episcopal Commission on Migrants and Itinerant People, Rev. Fr. Fernando Santos, SVD, Director of DCCM signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and Public Employment Service Office Manager Mr. Rogelio Reyes.
Also present in the signing of the agreement was Pastoral Care for Migrant Families in Novaliches (PAMINOVA) Director Rev. Fr. Leonides Laguilles.
The agreement aims to strengthen the ties between the church and the government in providing holistic guidance and livelihood programs for the families of Overseas Filipino Workers.
Last September 26, the Philippines celebrated the 35th National Migrants Sunday wherein the Diocese of Cubao formally launched its newly established Migrants Ministry.
