SEPTEMBER 8, 2021 – The Parish of the Holy Sacrifice launches its mobile application called UP Parish.
Catholic worship has been significantly affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The church adapts to the pandemic, reimagining and redesigning her methods and projects as she continues to serve the people. On a more practical note, adjustments to the church’s pastoral programs and administering of the sacraments, especially the Holy Eucharist, are continually exercised during this time of pandemic.
In partnership with Orange and Crane Innovations, the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice continues with its mission through the development of the UP Parish app. This new app hopes to reach members of our parish and university community, both here and abroad and allows them to access the latest updates on the parish and her pastoral programs. Together with the use of emerging new technology and different online platforms, it is imperative that believers nowadays get to exercise their faith in varied ways such as online masses, online prayer meetings, and online recollections.
The mobile app provides daily readings, Sunday reflections, and a schedule of online masses. This also features the parish’s pastoral programs. Users of this app can also send their prayer requests, offerings, and inquiries.
While churches today — along with priests and servant leaders who intensify their efforts to keep in touch with the congregation and maintain church activities for the community — transition to the new normal, people continue to reimagine ways of serving the Lord and acknowledge spiritual growth as a call for new evangelization during this time of need.
As children of God, we continue to be resilient and innovative in extending out a helping hand.
