The Santa Teresita del Niño Hesus Parish in Mayon, Quezon City celebrated its parish fiesta last October 1st, 2017, the feast of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, who is also known as the "Little Flower."
During the homily, Father Eugene Lopez, the Provincial Superior of the Franciscan Capuchins in the country, emphasized that the spirituality of the Little Way authored by Saint Thérèse are important guidelines on how we can peacefully live in our communities. According to Fr. Lopez, this Little Way involves living in simplicity, speaking the truth, having a complete trust in the will of God, and by doing ordinary things extraordinarily.
As part of their thanksgiving to those who attended the fiesta celebrations, all parishioners were given a rose and a bottle of rose petals which were blessed after the Mass. (Cubao Media)
